This is a 2 year full time course which starts in April. This course is mainly for those who have an interest in Computer Network Support and are aiming for employment as network engineers or hardware support within an Information Technology department or company. In this course you will study the following units;
Computer archetecture, Multi user and Network System, Administration, Network Technology, Stand Alone Computer Systems Support, Data Communications, Communication: Selecting and Presenting, Complex Information.
There are also optional units such as;
Hardware Installation and Maintenance, Multi user Operating Systems.
A successful completion of this unit means a Higher National Certificate in Network Support.
Entry requirements are 2 highers at C or better.
